“ICECD Entrepreneur RAMEELA DINESH from Chhatral village touches new heights in Tiffin Service Business”

“Gayatri Tiffin Service” has made a big name in Chhatral village in the field of catering service. The mastermind behind this profitable business is Mrs. Rameela Dinesh, a thirty year old lady who did not have her schooling and got married at a very early age. Post her marriage she started helping her husband in his catering business.

Rameela always wanted to start her own business to be financially independent but due to money constraints & lack of knowledge, she could not make a start. Rameela was looking for an opportunity. In the meanwhile she heard about ICECD’s EDP training program. In the initial Rameela took some time to adapt to the training program. Later during the training she got the idea of Tiffin service from home. She observed that there was a large labour force at Chhatral GIDC & during her Market Survey realized that there was a very good scope of providing quality food. In 2017, after the entrepreneurship training program, she received a loan of Rs.30000/- which she invested in purchasing tiffins & started the business with 25-30 tiffin orders of GIDC.

The quality of Rameela’s food attracted many customers and she could not meet the demand. Therefore she decided to start a full-fledged catering service at home by employing a cook. Presently she is having monthly 3000 tiffin orders on regular basis. Her gross sales has reached up to Rs. 1,20,000/- per month (includes special meals for executives in the various industries in the estate) and earns profits of Rs. 4,00,000/- annually. She says, “ICECD’s training helped her to overcome the fear and lack of self-confidence.

About her future plans, Rameela will be starting a Restaurant in Chhatral. This is the culmination of Rameela’s effort and hard work and to ICECD for grooming her into successful entrepreneur.
